Crime Statistics
Crime statistics are collected by the Center Police Department and sent onto the Texas Department of Safety for inclusion in their annual report, Crime in Texas. That data is then sent onto the Federal Bureau of Investigations. The FBI collects data on the seven most serious person and property crimes. The crimes against persons are muder, rape, robbery and aggrivated assault. The three major property crimes are burglary, theft or larceny, and auto theft.
