Economic Development for Street Improvements

The City of Center collects a 1/4 cent sales tax for the purposes of funding a 4B Economic Development Corporation, dedicated soley to street improvements.

The major accomplishment of the 4B EDC is that, over the course of 15 years, all of the streets in Center are now paved and there are no gravel-top streets.

The 4B Board meets on an as-needed basis. The members of the Board are: Buster Bounds, Stephen Shires, Gretchen McNeeley, David Chadwick, Howell Howard, Leigh Porterfield, and Charlie Byndom.
